Howler Caraya

High Speed low cost media processing platform

Caraya provides solutions such as transcoding, encryption and signal analysis and can operate either as a stand-alone device, or in tandem with existing equipment taking on the burden of compute-intensive media processing.

Integratable
The Caraya Core Engine can run as a stand-alone network packet processor, with its packet processing logic controlled by a 3rd party, e.g. the Caraya for OpenSIPS module.

Alternatively, it can be integrated into existing applications running directly on one of the supported Caraya hardware platforms. Popular, open-source soft-switch applications like Asterisk and FreeSWITCH, as well as a heavily modified variant of RTPProxy, have all been enhanced with Caraya technology. This allows them to off-load compute intensive tasks such as transcoding directly into the Caraya Core Engine, increasing their scalability by an order of magnitude.
